Program Notes:
It is a very particular feeling finding yourself uprooted in more than a physical, spiritual, and emotional sense; it simultaneously feels like swirling around in boundless outer space (almost outside of time), while also being buffeted and swallowed by an immense torrential storm at sea. In this piece, these contradictions and others are considered, somewhat, as well as other more conflicting experiences.
Premiere to take place on Monday, 27th of 2023 at The Graduate Center CUNY, performed by Athos Maelstrom for whom the piece was written.
