Known for his compelling, expressive and intransigent music, Julio Elvin Quiñones (b. 1996) is a Puerto Rican composer that writes works imbued with visceral gestures, intuition and relentless poetic vibrancy.
Most recently he has been selected as the 2023-2024 Composer-In-Residence of the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts’ Puerto Abierto Residency with the Victory Players. Additionally his work has been performed by ensembles such as Tacet(i), Talea Ensemble, JACK Quartet, Ekmeles, among others.
